Corona halts cannabis treatment

Watch as I bash my own Motherland for a second.

The latest in Government stupidity is as follows (from an article I read in a Norwegian news outlet the other day);

Because of Coronavirus, people in Norway cannot leave their country to go buy CBD meds abroad. Most Norwegians who use CBD or other CBD products as a treatment for their disease or illness, usually go to The Netherlands. Because of some loophole in the law, doctors can actually issue a medical statement saying that this patient benefits from CBD treatment.

That, in and of itself is dumb.

The Norwegian Minister of Health naturally has received a fair bit of criticism over this ridiculous rule. Especially now during the Corona times with closed borders, quarantines and all of that. Neeedless to say, the fella simply responded with the following lame statement;

‘We have these products available in Norway, but we don’t wish to alter the medical qualifications for which situations that warrant the use of said products’.

In other words, ‘We do realize this is an important issue, but we really don’t care.’

A typical politician’s answer.

Now, not only is the ban on CBD products in Norway ridiculous, but not even considering lifting the ban or modify the law text so that people in dire need of such treatment can get what they need, is in my opinion abuse.

Now, I’ll leave it with that. I usually don’t comment on politics. And when I do, I don’t take sides. Left, right, center. I don’t care. What I care about is that all politicians are dumb and are good for naught but making your life more difficult.

Especially when it comes to your health.

There is an interview with a CBD oil patient in this article.

Ironically, the guy whose body needs CBD oil to fully function, works as an ambulance driver. In other words, I’d assume that his service and job is actually an essential service. Which means that strictly speaking, Norway is reliant on people like him. After all, we’re talking about someone who actually drives the ambulance.

But now he can’t work because he’s in great pain.

Specifically, he suffers from a condition called ‘complex post traumatic misophonia’ which means that he has an aversion of high and loud noises. Said aversion coupled with his post traumatic stress causes great muscle and nerve pain.

Not exactly ideal when you’re working in an ambulance.

Because of the ban on cannabis, he’d tried to obtain it illegally. Not only that, but he’d also tried to subdue the pains with alcohol. Whether he injected the alcohol into his body or just started boozing, I don’t know.

What I do know is that he finds himself in a most awkward and horrible situation.

I mean, he’s actually responsible for driving sick people to the hospital. Now, more people might suffer and may even die because him being unable to work.

The irony writes itself on the wall.

Anyway, I’ll end my rant right here.

And remind you that lifting bans on non-harmful so-called ‘alternative medicine’ might be the most important thing that any Government can do in the 2020s.

If you are lucky enough to live in a country where you’re actually allowed to purchase and use CBD oil for treatment, I suggest you take advantage of that immediately.

Use what Mother Nature can give you.
