The 328*C-word that can cure anxiousness

It’s a new day and it’s time for some new email stuff. This time a little ‘dark’.

I could see it in the politician’s eyes.

I could feel it from miles afar.

Anxiousness. Concern. Worry.

On the outside he seemed worried for the rest of the world.

But in reality, he was more worried about himself. About the lack of happiness. And the anxiety he probably had to live with.

There’s also a certain thing, a word that begins with C that he might be lacking in.

More about that later.

Some context first;

He wasn’t in a happy mood. He’d just announced a new couple of lockdown regulations. People should stop visiting each other. Schools were shutting down. Most stores with the exception of drug stores, grocery stores and so-called “critical infrastructure” could remain open.

But most people were in it for another tough weeks and possibly months ahead.

More lockdowns.

More isolation.

More viral diseases.

…less company. Less fun. Less joy.

You get the idea, right?

Well, I’m not here to preach about what’s right and wrong in the fight against viral diseases. In fact, that’s so far out of my area of expertise I wouldn’t even know where to begin.

So I’m happy to trust the experts and what they’re recommending is the right thing to do.

…I can SEE it on the experts, the pundits and the polticians.

They’re not doing well.

They’re struggling with anxiety. Every day. Some even went as far as admitting that they wanted to quit politics altogether because of this massive change in society and how they were the target of the masses’ rage.

I seriously can’t blame them.

In fact, I’m happy I’m not them.

Anyway, let’s get on to business.

Whether you’re a politician in charge of unpopular lockdowns related to the fight against contagious viral diseases or not…

And there we go.

Obviously we all know what kind of ‘viral disease’ I’m referring to. I could have chosen to write in great detail about this virus, but I have the feeling that most people just are fed up with the whole thing and that they prefer not the name to even be mentioned.

Admittedly, this is quite a ‘dark’ and ‘gloomy’ email which was the intent. There is nothing ‘good’ about feeling depressed and down.

Other than waking up from a good night’s sleep.

Anyway, the psychological effects of sometimes writing gloomy emails shouldn’t be ignored. It’s something that I teach in my emails which you can subscribe to here:
