You haven’t seen a basket like this before

What I’m talking about is a basket that I saw a picture of.

It was a basket, a goblet or whatever you want to call it, that contained several pills containers. At least 7–8 of them. They looked like these fluoride tablets that you give your kids. Except these weren’t innocent fluoride tablets meant to strengthen your kid’s teeth.

No.

They were the kind of pills or tablets that most people don’t want to have anything to do with.

The kind of pills that make people go mad and lose their mind.

Scream out loud in rage that they hate their body. And all the complications that come with it. They just want to be pain free. They cannot handle the pains. The feeling that there’s something wrong with them. That they’re being punished by someone. Or that they were born in the wrong body.

You’ve probably realized by now that I’m talking about medication for chronic pain disorders.

In particular, those disorders that cause joint inflammations.

The photo I saw was on a social media.

The woman posing with the basket of pill containers sarcastically asked if there were people who actually had to take that many pills for their disorder.

She probably expected a lot of people to say yes. And say yes, many did.

Some said no.

And then there was one person who said that they took ‘twice as many pills, and I take more pills than my grandma and she’s 95 and I’m just 38' or something like that.

Obviously, I don’t need to remind you that keeping check of which pill containers that are soon going to be empty and which that are pretty much filled to the rim is just one of the many tasks you have to do, if that’s you.

But what if you forget to take a pill a day?

What if you have to distribute the intake throughout the day and you miss one, or worse, you take two of the same kind because they all look the same and they all have difficult names that sound exactly the same?
